Make it easier
Follow a coach or partner without a ball first.
Add a stretch
The final player calls a scanning cue or suggests the next action.
Same idea, different entry
- U6–U8Use one simple action, 30–45 second rounds, generous space, and no elimination.
- U9–U10Add one visual decision cue and let players choose their response.
- U11–U12Link the action to scanning and the session focus, then finish with controlled acceleration or pressure.
Safety check
Keep groups small, ban sharp reversals into followers, preserve choice, and avoid public performance pressure.
If it breaks down
- Groups bunch together; ask leaders to use wider curves and slower speed.
- One player does not want to lead; make leading optional and allow paired leaders.
